Territory Proud strong showing at Tropical Garden Fair

The inaugural Tropical Garden Fair was held in the George Brown Botanical Gardens on the weekend of August 14 and 15. This event was a replacement for the Tropical Garden Spectacular which was normmally held in June but did not happen this year.

The TGF was run by the Parks & Wildlife Department which manages the Botanical Gardens and was supported by Territory Made traders and members of Territory Proud Inc and other territory businesses and organisations. Despite much competition on the weekend it was well supported by the Darwin community especially on the Sunday.

Territory Proud members had their own area and a number of members were also spread throughout the rest of the displays. The Territory Proud area had a range of business and was anchored by The One Mile Brewery and Saffrron Restaurant with a chill our area adjacent to the fountain in the shade with furniture provided by Kokoda Industries (part of HPA – Heping People Achieve) and Fusion Exhibition & Hire.

Territory Proud has committed to participate again next year and we look forward to more members joining us.
